Summer updates offer the perfect opportunity to focus on capturing or updating exterior shots at a location. These areas might have yet to feature if the property was taken on in winter, or it can be the ideal time to showcase new features.
Let’s explore how taking advantage of the summer season can elevate your location’s visual appeal. We’ll also showcase some of our Light Locations that have used the summer of 2023 to refresh their visuals.
It comes as no surprise that the longer days and brighter skies make the summer months better for shooting a property.
Some properties we took on during the winter months had no choice but to feature images captured during shorter, darker days. These properties have eagerly awaited the chance to update their visual appeal with sun-drenched shots and gardens bursting with colour. Meanwhile, for properties that have recently added new features, summer presents an ideal backdrop to showcase them in their most flattering light.
Whatever the reason, there’s no denying the transformative power of a summer photoshoot to give your location a marketing boost. So, without further ado, let’s look at which Light Locations seized the photographic opportunities of summer.
The pool has provided a fantastic addition at an already gorgeous photoshoot location. The stunning and stylish interior is now joined by a cool and contemporary pool area – perfectly displayed against a beautiful blue sky.
This impressive Victorian conversion now features a new photogenic outdoor seating area. A summer photoshoot beautifully displays the new addition, complete with blooming ornamental grass beds.
Gaulden Manor in Somerset is a stunning historic house packed with period features and set within beautiful rolling countryside. We took the location on in mid-winter, so until now, the photography had been full of gothic atmosphere and dark corners. With its new sun-drenched shoot, the outside space is a haven of green and the light floods through the interior, giving the location a completely different look.
The amazing cruck-framed farmhouse in Monmouthshire also joined us in the winter months. Not only was it eagerly waiting for its summer photo shoot makeover, but external changes to the landscaped garden deserved some visual TLC. Fantastic blue skies graced the shoot day, showed off the changes, and showered light on the property’s unusual exterior walls.
