Top Shoot Locations of 2021

Sophie Hitchens Wednesday 22nd December 2021

As the Christmas decorations surface and the mulled wine flows, the end of the year is on the horizon. That means it’s time to announce the top shoot locations of 2021.

Too many of our Light Locations to mention have had diaries bursting with bookings throughout the year. Some are regular favourites who’ve drawn the crowds year after year. And for others, it’s been a whirlwind getting to grips with being in constant demand.

But without further ado, let’s reveal which of our gorgeous Light Locations proved the greatest hits of 2021 and made it to the top shoot location list for 2021.

NO 1: Ham House

The glorious open space at this stunning contemporary countryside barn conversion has always attracted people to Ham House. But a photographic makeover for 2021 caught people’s eye and ensured it rose even further in popularity.

The new images perfectly capture the beautiful internal features at Ham House. Exposed and breath-taking beams, generous windows and spacious hallway are sought-after details. And clients favour the fireplace, the kitchen and spiral staircase as backdrops to their designs.

The location of Ham House brings an additional appeal. As with many countryside Light Locations, excellent parking is on offer, together with a fantastic exterior and an incredible garden. And to polish it off, Ham House is another Light Locations with a delightful owner who goes out of her way to welcome shoot crews.

NO 2: Anders House

This stunning Victorian house has been in demand since joining us in the summer of 2020. Everybody wants to shoot at this location, and you can see why.

Renovated, designed and styled with shoots in mind, Anders House is packed with features that attract a broad and diverse range of bookings. Its parquet floor, wall panelling, incredible Crittal windows and open plan kitchen and living space are just a few of the enticing features offered at this London based location.

Anders House is also notching up its fair share of repeat bookings. Of course, this is partly due to its visual appeal but also because of its delightful owners Vanessa Leigh Anderson and her husband, Ben. This brilliant couple are very experienced and a joy to work alongside. And with Vanessa’s role as an interior design consultant and Ben a very accomplished photographer, they know all the tips and tricks to make everything run smoothly.

NO 3: Church Road

This impossibly stylish vicarage in a quaint town on the River Thames joined us in March 2020 and became an instant hit. As a result, it’s enjoying a second year in the top 5 Light Locations.

The success of Church Road lies in its versatility. Not only is it gorgeous, but its impressive size offers a multitude of options. Rooms are spacious and designed to perform perfectly as a blank canvas. It also allows painting and decorating, which always adds to a location’s flexibility and appeal. And the ample parking always goes down a treat with shoot crews.

NO 4: Forest House

One of our Light Location exclusives, Forest House, is always in the top 5. One of the reasons for its endless charm is its secluded woodland position. As a result, shoot crews can fully absorb themselves in their craft, safe in the knowledge that no one will bother them.

A recent update has offered Forest House fresh appeal. Whilst its stunning black-clad exterior remains unchanged, internally, its newly muted palette provides a sublime and tranquil backdrop for many different styling options. Even the owners are unbelievably relaxed, which further adds to a smooth and enjoyable experience for clients.

NO 5: Wisteria House

Wisteria House only joined us this year, but it swiftly enticed a broad audience with its winning combination of period features and modern spaces.

This handsome home began life as a bakery in the 18th Century, with a grand Georgian wing added a little later. More recently, a new lease of life was given to the original outbuildings, which now offer a modern, versatile and beautiful studio space with immense appeal.

A Fantastic Year

2021 has been a fantastic year for all of these locations. Each of them has rightfully earned a place at the top due to their stylish interiors and versatile layouts. And without exception, every property is accompanied by friendly and helpful owners who know and understand the industry they are appealing to. We can’t wait to see what 2022 holds for this incredible selection of Light Locations.
