On Location with Gillian Stevens at Oxfordshire House

Written by Tabitha Paradise Wednesday 08th July 2026

The new Spring collection from Gillian Stevens seems to embody the experience of slow living, with simple tones and natural feeling scenes laced with light narrative touches. It was shot at Oxfordshire House, a location long favoured for its farmhouse interiors embedded in wild meadows and outbuildings.

The Final Chapter of a Spring Collection

Gillian wrote in her own words:

“The inspiration for this season came from my ongoing daydream of an English cottage. The charm of mismatched pillows, rooms full of aged wood furniture, and a home that feels deeply lived-in and warm – the perfect place to curl up with a book, potter around the garden, or enjoy a bowl of soup and crusty bread after a walk in the countryside.

This collection stays true to our brand vision: classic pieces, made for everyday life, but that feel undeniably elevated. Chapter Two begins an exploration into the heirloom pieces you might find hanging in an antique wardrobe. Our Astrid Dress and Blouse feature delicate embroidery and lace, perfect for those special moments or for adding a bit of elegance to your every day.

Of course, our spring collection wouldn’t be complete without a gingham linen look, as seen in our Frances Skirt and Valley top. We’ve also introduced two new cardigan styles – the Lennon and Rosemary. They are beautiful cotton knits that feel incredible yet practical.

Summer collections sees a three part launch of capsule pieces elevated with intricate detailing, soft comfortable silhouettes and lots of gingham.”

An Authentic British Farmhouse

Oxfordshire House carries all those classic ingredients of a rural farmhouse; flagstone tiles and prominent beams, a country style kitchen, vegetable patches and stables. Its interiors feel heritage and heirloom, as if they have been existing for centuries, collecting timeless antiques and subtle style throughout the years.

The atrium style dining room is a stunning point of focus that feels fresh and new, retaining its rustic character whilst introducing skylights and whitewashed wood for a bright and inviting space that connects the indoors and out with ease.

Outdoors, the grounds are teeming with textures and earthy tones, from the sandy stone of the main building to the deeper wood of the stables. The plant life is lush and slightly wild, bearing that truly authentic feeling of land that’s alive and thriving in perfect harmony with the buildings that are now part of it.

Natural and Neutral

Simply timeless in their look and feel, the Spring collection works beautifully here. The muted hues of the garments are almost perfectly mirrored by Oxfordshire House, with gentle creams and browns picking out the subtle shades of buttons and patterns.

Furthermore, the home feels real and lived in, with Gillian’s classic narrative flair present in each shot as the models walk, sit and move in unhindered comfort. The beautiful light of this property filters in tenderly and modestly, just picking out the highlights in the drapery of the fabric. Doorways and corridors frame the pieces with light and tone, with soft features beyond the windowsills like wooden gates and blossoming trees.

Further into Oxfordshire House are yet more undiscovered spaces; a pretty courtyard filled with greenery and planters, a reading nook filled with tumbling books, even a swimming pool with reflections of leaves rippling on the surface. Although Gillian’s most recent spring story has been perfectly told within these walls, Oxfordshire House has so many other stories to tell, its versatile spaces ready to make imaginations soar.
